Gesture Support and Help

Gesture Community Guidelines

The Short Version

Although Gesture is considered a gift servicing platform, we provide the ability for our users (“The Community”) to express and share their gifting experiences in the form of a photo or video or written messages on our social feed and other outlets available within the Gesture mobile app and website. We want Gesture to be a genuine and safe place to share some of their most memorable moments. You can do your part to help foster this community. Please post only your own photos, content and videos and always follow the laws of the land. Show everyone the respect you would expect from other users on Gesture. Lastly, please don’t spam others or post any pictures that you wouldn’t want your grandmother to see (yes this means nudity).

The Lengthy Version

Gesture created and put together these Community Guidelines so you can help us by doing your part when it comes to protecting this community of amazing people.  By using Gesture and any of it’s services, you agree to these guidelines along with agreeing to our Terms of Service. We’re dedicated to following these guidelines and want to ensure you are as well. Crossing or violating our guidelines may result in having your account deleted, or content deleted or removed, or disabling your account, and/or other restrictions.

In some situations and some cases, we will allow content for public and social awareness which would normally conflict with our Community Guidelines – if it is in the best interest of the public and its interest. We do this only after reviewing and determining the public interest value against the risk of any harm this can cause, and we may and/or will seek out the international rights and standards of humans and people, in order to make these determinations and decisions.

Only share photos and/or videos that you’ve taken or have the permission and rights to use.

Post photos and videos and language that is appropriate for an audience of all different types of users.

You own the content you post on Gesture. Please post authentic and genuine content, and do not post content you’ve copied or collected from the internet that you don’t have the permission, license and/or right to use and post.

We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that they might consider creative in nature or artistic. However for a number of reasons, we don’t allow any nudity what-so-ever on Gesture. This includes photos, videos, and/or any digitally-created content that demonstrates sexual scenes, intercourse, genitals, and close-ups (regardless if the face is covered) of fully-nude or bare backsides. This also includes photos of female nipples. Gesture reserves the right to make decisions on whether to allow photos in the context of breastfeeding, birth giving and post/after-birth moments. Some health-related situations (i.e. post-mastectomy, breast cancer support & awareness or gender confirmation surgery). Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures may be OK, as well.

Gesture is aware that people love to share photos or videos of their children and/or family. For safety reasons, there are times when we may remove images that show nude or partially-nude children. Even when this content is shared with good intentions, it could be used by others in unanticipated uses and/or purposes.

We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sharing sexual content involving minors or threatening to post intimate images of others.

Embrace genuine transactions.

Help us stay spam-free by not artificially creating and/or collecting likes or profile sharing, posting repetitive comments and/or content regardless of the reasoning or purpose, or repeatedly contacting other Gesture community users for commercial purposes without their consent. Please do not offer any sort of monetization opportunities including money, giveaways promotion of brands without their consent, money in exchange for likes or comments and/or other types of engagement/s on Gesture.

You don’t have to use your real name on Gesture, however we do require our users to provide us with accurate and up-to-date information as you will be required to present a credit card as a form of payment. You cannot impersonate others and will not create accounts for the purposes of violating our guidelines or misleading other users.

Follow the laws of the land.

Gesture is not a platform to support, encourage, and/or praise terrorism, hate groups, and/or organized crime. Gesture is not a platform to offer sexual services, the buying, selling and/or trading firearms and tobacco products between private individuals, and buying, selling and/or trading illegal or prescription drugs (regardless of whether it’s legal in your region) are also not allowed. Gesture is not the place to sell live animals between private individual users. No one may coordinate poaching, trading or selling of endangered species or their parts.

Embrace and support a healthy environment by not glorifying self-injury.

The Gesture community is a fun place and we care for one another, and can be a platform where people facing difficult issues can come together to create awareness or find support. If you come across content that you feel is a concern to the safety of any user of our community, please send an notice to notify@gesture.vip immediately.

Encouraging or urging people to embrace self-injury goes against our environment of community and support, and we will not hesitate to remove or disable any user accounts if it’s reported to us at notify@gesture.vip. We may also remove any content identifying victims and/or survivors of self-injury if the content targets those users for any type of attack or humor.

Respect other members of the Gesture community.

We will remove content that contains credible threats or hate speech, content that targets individuals to degrade or shame them, personal information meant to harass, blackmail or shame someone, and repeated unwanted messages on our social feed.

It’s never acceptable nor is it okay to encourage violence or attack anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases. When hate speech is being shared to challenge it or to raise awareness, we may allow it. If this is reported by our community, we ask that you express or clarify your intentions clearly.

Threats of harm to public and personal safety aren’t allowed regardless of the context or meaning playful or intentional. This includes specific threats of physical harm as well as threats of theft, vandalism, financial and other types of harm. We will do our best to review all reports of threats or violence and we will consider many factors when deciding whether a threat is indeed credible and/or genuine.

Do your part to keep a strong community:

When you report any potential violations or concerns, try to provide as much information and detail as possible. Information such as url links, social handles, screen names and descriptions of the photos including screenshots used for the purpose of reporting a community concern, help quite a bit. When you provide details, we can find and review any issues much faster than having to dig for information. We can and will remove entire photos and/or text content if either the image/s and/or associated captions violate our guidelines.

You may find content you don’t like, but doesn’t violate the Community Guidelines. If that happens, you can block the person who posted it. If there’s something you don’t like in a comment on one of your posts, you can delete that comment.

If you find that your photos or videos were posted by someone else or used as personal message, please send a request to investigate to notify@gesture.vip. If you believe someone is violating a trademark that is owned by you, you can file a trademark investigation report at violations@gesture.vip.

Gesture reserves the right to work with law enforcement, including when we believe that there’s risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.
